Many of the groomings Club Doggie provides are "pet trims".  Sometimes owners neglect to comb their dogs and they become heavily matted.   The dogs need to be clipped short, but Lauren still manages to make the dogs cute and adorable!  Many clients out here in our sandy, hot, desert also prefer to keep their dogs hair shorter on a regular basis.  As a groomer, it is very important to know how to still maintain balance with the head and keep a soft fluffy look to the body coat (achieved by hand scissoring), even if it is short.....   Lauren's clients tell her she also has a real "knack" for making even their old dogs look like puppies again, and they love it!  Here is a sampling of some clients Lauren has groomed both in grooming school and in her mobile grooming van.

Grooming Limitations

Club Doggie has groomed thousands of dogs both pure breds and mutts, large and small, fancy cuts and basic baths.  Chows to Tea Cup Yorkies. Lauren loves them all, but due to shoulder, back and wrist stresses she will no longer be grooming the large, heavy, double coated breeds (ie: Huskies, Chows, Akitas, Collies, Sheepdogs etc) due to the excessive brushing, bathing and drying time that wears on her physically.

Lauren DOES groom large single, type coated dogs (ie: Rotts, Pits, Dobies, Boxers, Danes, Mastiffs, Mutts, etc.) as long as they are well mannered and not people aggressive.
